Sage for Home is for adults age 18 and over. Children may appear in a household as records managed by a parent or guardian. Children do not have accounts and cannot sign in.
Sign in and account access
- Open Sage for Home and sign in.
- You can sign in with your email and password or an enrolled passkey.
- If you forgot your password, choose Forgot password? on the sign-in screen and follow the secure link sent to your email.
- If two-factor authentication is enabled, use your authenticator code or a saved recovery code.
Microphone, camera, location, and notifications
- Microphone: Sage asks only when you start a voice interaction. Microphone audio is sent securely for transcription after you choose to use voice.
- Camera: Sage asks only when you scan a recipe or add an image to a supported household feature.
- Location: Sage asks when you enable local weather. You may turn location access off in Sage and in your device settings.
- Notifications: Allow notifications to receive reminders and household updates. You can turn notification types off under Settings.
If you previously chose Don’t Allow, open your device’s Settings app, find Sage for Home, and enable only the permission you want to use.
Calendar and optional bank connection
Google Calendar connection controls are under Settings → Email & connections. Disconnecting stops future calendar sync.
Bank sync through Plaid is optional and may not be available in every release. Manual budgeting remains available. When bank sync is enabled, only the household owner can connect, reconnect, sync, or disconnect it, and connected financial data requires stronger verification with a passkey or authenticator app.
Privacy, AI choices, and data controls
- Read the Privacy Policy for the data Sage processes and the service providers it uses.
- You can download a machine-readable copy of household data under Settings → Account & privacy.
- AI features are optional. Where available, you can decline or withdraw AI processing consent and continue using non-AI household tools.
- Use the Report action on a Sage-generated response to flag unsafe or inappropriate output.
- For permanent deletion instructions, visit Delete your Sage for Home account.
